Inform 7 has undergone some rather interesting changes. The site has now changed to Inform7.com, the systems language has been updated to include equations and many more niceties, but more importantly, Aaron Reed’s screencast introduces new users to the system.
Finally, there is a section on the site for educators. This will bring Inform 7 users a lot of flexibility. Things learnt in the classroom can aid in future design, giving educators chance to give input to the system by proxy at least.
The website is a superb improvement and well worth a look.
I have been looking and using Inform since 1996, and bought the first print pressing of the book. I then gave up on IF since things were clearly way to code writing oriented, and not story telling oriented. I have since rediscovered IF via Inform 7, the rewrite of the front end is amazing. Very well done, nicely polished, and I can’t wait to start writing IF again. Thank you for the wonderful tip on the website redo as well. I’m checking it out now.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the system. It’s one of those tools that gets you hooked somehow. I always like playing with it and seeing what’s possible.
